Aluminum compression splices are forged from pure aluminum and are provided with an integral solid center barrier. They are supplied pre-filled with oxide inhibitor and supplied with color-coded caps. Easy push-through caps reduce the push force by 25%, prevent contamination during storage and installation and ensure that the oxide inhibitor covers the strands of the conductor. The oxide inhibitor ensures a tight, highly-conductive connection as well as keeping dirt, air and moisture out of the joint. On aluminum to copper connections, it also eliminates the effects of galvanic corrosion. Can be installed with either hydraulic or hand tools.
